For decades, it's been known as a transit point for drugs and illegal migrants, slipping right past the US Border Patrol. It's always had a bit of a dangerous reputation, with the cartel lurking right on the other side. Well, you could consider me a bit of a border expert (or at least, I've been detained at a few). I wanted to see the world's most famous border for myself--both sides of it, from the quiet, vanishing ghost towns in Texas, to the lively but chaotic border cities of Juarez and Ojinaga in Mexico. A completely different world for me, as a guy from New York. I knew that you couldn't get the full story of this place just by watching the news.
