This Is Japan's Island Run By The US Military ()

Okinawa, Japan. A friendly island with good weather, a bit like the Hawaii of Japan. After all my hard work chasing down Yakuza members, that was more than enough reason for me to visit. But there was more to it than that: ever since WW2, the US Military has maintained a very large presence on the island, particularly the Marines and Air Force. I should know very well: both my grandfather and brother served here as Marines. I needed to see how these cultures clash on the island. The US Military may capture most of the discussion when Americans think of Okinawa, but it's also the home of the Ryukyuu people, the only people looking to be independent from Japan. This was set to be an interesting tour.
